Truth or Lies is the sixth episode of the first season of The New Worst Witch. It was preceded by Trick or Treat, and followed by Deadly Doubles.
Plot[]
Hettie shows Belladonna Bindweed The Enchanted Book of Potions when she hungers for a potion that will do her homework for her. The Enchanted Book of Potions goes missing from the school library and an emergency assembly is called. All privileges are cut off until the book is returned and the culprit owns up. All signs point to Hettie, but she and her friends set out to clear her name.
Belladonna tells Miss Hardbroom that she saw Hettie Hubble looking at the book in the library. Hettie is accused of taking it but whilst she is in Miss Cackle's office the book is found. Meanwhile Dyllis has become very popular. Believing that Belladonna stole the book Hettie makes a truth potion but soon to everyone's amazement Dyllis admits that she took the book to make a popularity potion.
